Minerals
The mineralogy room includes the best sample of the coolection of “Delmo Veronese” from Este, organised according a systematic criteria given by the semplified classification of the German minerologist Hugo Strunz. A showcase is dedicated to minerals from Euganean Hills gifted by some members of GMPE, Euganean Paleontological Mineralogical Group (Gruppo Mineralogico Paleontologico Euganeo in Italian). The museum also owns a significant part of the Leopoldo Fabris' collection, who died in 2018, author among other things of various pubblications among which the important text entitled Mineralogia Euganea. This precious collection is the object of scientific inspection from GMPE (Euganean Paleontological Mineralogical Group), assisted by the Department of Geoscience of the University of Padua. Together with samples from different origins, the collection Fabris houses minerals from the Triveneto and what at the moment can be considered one of the most important collections of euganean minerals.
